I have been having a problem with our SA2000. I have several roaming laptop users who connect to the SA2000 via Secure Access VPN. Sometimes when they're wi-fi or wireless broadband connection drops they lose connection to the SA2000 and it won't self heal. When they try to log back in again they get a message saying they're already logged in. When they call me to reset their account the SA2000 admin console shows that they are NOT logged in.
Is this by design? A bug? Is there a configuration change I can make? Some of my users are CxO types and when they can't get in it creates a huge headache for me.
I'm running 5.5 r5. I'm not sure they're acquiring a new IP address. I think they have the same and the SA2000 detects multiple accesses from the same IP address and denies them the ability to connect. I've had this happen to me at home as well. I either lose connection to the SA2000 because I lost my wireless signal or my computer goes into hibernate. When I try to reconnect I'm told I cannot connect because another session from the same IP address is active. (or words to that effect). I have disabled Persistent Connections since my post. I'm not sure if that's the right way to go but I figured it was worth a shot.
I have the same issue, running 5.5R1. We're looking at the idle timeouts and the possibility of turning off persistent sessions to help the issue.
Cache Cleaner may also deal with it. I'd really like to find out the actual cause rather than just helping it get better....
