Hello Everyone,
We have quite a number of MAC users who we currently put an SA700 in for (the compatability with a MAC is great on the 700).
Since the SA700 is going to be EOL'd, has any tried a MAC on the MAG? The specs for the MAG say that it is Junos Pulse, so I'm assuming there won't be a client.
Thanks,
Bruce
I know you can download for an iPhone, but what about on an iMac or iBook (ie. an actual computer or laptop and not a portable device)??
Bruce
There is no Pulse client for the OS/X operating system. Just the Apple IOS. You can of course still use all of the other SA functionality on the MAG for your OS/X clients - IE - Core WEB access, JSAM, Network Connect.
If Network Connect works with the MAG, that would be wonderful. The info I read only mentions Pulse, which had me concerned.
I'll have to try and get my hands on a MAG to confirm Network Connect, unless someone has it running on a MAG now.
Thanks,
Bruce
The MAG refers to the new hardware component. The code that runs on the actual device (not the management piece on the bigger units) is the SSL-VPN code.
Follow this link from the MAG software download page and it will take you to the SSL-VPN software download for the actual code. It offers all functionality on the new platform (with the exception of IVS) as it is the same code.
Network Connect works just fine on MAG:
I have two MAG4610, running SA7.1r2.You just have to select Network Connect instead of Juniper Pulse for you role.
I have tested a lot of clients (Mac OS-X, Windows XP, Windows 7, Ubuntu). All works as expected.
Regards,
Vincent
MAG is just the hardware that runs the software (just as the SA700 runs the software).
The client support is the same on both appliances as they run the same OS.
