Re: MAC OS 10.8.2 Pulse Client Does Not Work (Connects successfully, but then no network connectivity on VPN or Internet)

We're having the same (or similiar) issue with four Macs out of ~100.  Three are running OS X 10.9, the other is 10.7.5.  All see the following error when pinging <8.8.8.8>:

'Cannot allocate memory'

We see the same message in system.log when verious services attempt to access the network.  We have tried uninstalling (choosing not to save settings) and reinstalling.  We have also tried reverting to an older version of Junos Pulse.  This seems to have coincided with updating to Junos Pulse 4.0r7 from 4.0r3.

We have found no solution or workaround, short of reinstalling the OS.

JTAC was unable to find anything in the logs and agrees it appears to be isolated to the users machine. They have advised cleaning out all possible Juniper conflictions on the machine. See below

This from JTAC:

Please find the commands to uninstall all of the Juniper components from MAC
machines.

On MAC Machines :

Step 1:
sudo rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Juniper\ Networks/SetupClient
sudo rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Juniper\

Step2 :
Also, incase if you see the following files on MAC try removing the same from the MAC

~/Library/Application Support/Juniper Networks/tncc.jar
~/Library/Application Support/Juniper Networks
~/Library/Logs/Juniper Networks.

Step 3:
Ensure Java plug in is enabled on the MAC

Step 4:
- After all the above steps, reboot the MAC and try login to VPN.

I have not been albe to verify if this resolved the issue yet as the user has been out of the office.
