MacOs Big Sur and Hardware Acceleration Issues

Hi!

My macbook pro seems to be affected by this issue where it crashes when hardware acceleration is used (https://mrmacintosh.com/2020-002-update-causes-some-macs-to-freeze-when-using-hw-accelerated-video/)

That forces me to disable hardware acceleration on the browser and video chat apps.

At the same time, I've been trying to install and use Pulse Secure. I've been told it's not currently compatible with Big Sur, but I was able to install it (version 9.1.10). However, trying to connect to my desired VPN fails and Pulse Secure slows down to halt, occasionally crashing my macbook, similarly to what happens with the hardware acceleration problem. Is there any chance these are related? Is version 9.1.10 compatible with Big Sur? Please advise.

Thank you,

Evan

@evandocarmo Do you receive any error message from the Pulse Client while connecting to VPN?

No crash with PDC 9.1R10 & Big Sur was reported, please open a support ticket us to investigate.

These should not be related; the kernel panic you are seeing: is it after you wake from sleep? if yes, please open a ticket with our support team so we can confirm it matches an item we are investigating
