Migrating from MAG SM160 to PSA 3000

Hi everyone !

I need to migrate my old MAG SM160 cluster to a new PSA 3000 cluster.

I found a documentation to migrate the configuration (network, cluster...) but i also want to keep my user roles and realms. I tried to import the XML but it doesn't work.

Is there another way to keep this configuration on my new cluster ? Or do I have to create them manually ?

My MAG version: 8.2R8.2

My PSA version: 8.1R4.1

(Maybe I need to upgrade the PSA cluster ?)

Thanks for your help !

Re: Migrating from MAG SM160 to PSA 3000

Please do not use XML export & import.
You need to export the binary system.cfg and user.cfg
The system.cfg contains your IPs, network settings, and other unique items (easily moved over)
The user.cfg is the one with all the realms, roles, ACLs, etc that you don't want to lose
First thing you will want/need to do is upgrade your PSA to 9.0R4 or 9.1R1; then import the user.cfg and system.cfg

As advised by @zanyterp, Please use the CFG files for importing the configurations without any issues.

Please use the default value "Import everything except network, cluster settings, etc." while importing the system configuration to the PSA device and follow the steps mentioned by @zanyterp .
