NC and old linksys and SMC problems - reconnecting

Recently a Juniper tech told me that NetConnect has problems with old routers or old firmware, I wasnt clear on which.

I support a group of users who are constantly complaining about NC Reconnecting several times an hour. These are wired workstations.

Are the two connected ? Has anyone experienced or resolved either of these issues ? I am running 6.0R7

Are you using ESP or SSL for the NC transport? If you are using ESP, can you try to put one of the users in a role which forces SSL?

Where are they in relation to the SSL device?

I'll try changing to SSL although I try to stay away from it because its slower.

The users are behind a small linksys or SMC barricade, which is connected to DSL or cable.
