Narrow bandwidth environment for NC use case

Hi Folks,

Please kindly let me know who has experience with narrow bandwidth access line to connect NC tunnel ? e.g. 64kbps or lower.

If you have, how about user experience ?

Regards,

Hiro

Re: Narrow bandwidth environment for NC use case

Anoop,

I just want to know the working case regarding bandwidth of access line.

The customer sees NC disconnect issue with 56kbps dial-up line (in Vietnam, India). Auto-reconnect not working well.

Thanks,

Hiro

Re: Narrow bandwidth environment for NC use case

Might be more of an issue with line quality and dropped packets than bandwidth. Though I admit I've not used NC on a dialup line Smiley Happy.

What IVEOS revision is this? ESP or plain SSL? Try either way, I've seen choosing another transport mechanism help with noisy lines (on a construction job site in that case).

Is the behavior improved when using Pulse on IVEOS 7.2?

You can get a view of what's happening with NC by looking at the Advanced View, Logs tab, "Detailed Info". If your users are remote and you cannot see their screen when this is happening, then I think there's a way to upload client logs to the SA, though that setting is disabled by default. "Detailed Info" is a very chatty debug that will create log info on every data packet sent. It should help you see what's happening, why there are disconnects, and what errors the debug shows on an attempt to reconnect.
