Network Connect needs to be installed every time a user logs in, even though it is already installed

Some of our users (not all) are prompted to install Network Connect every time they start a new SSL VPN session, even though the software was previously installed on their system. Once the install is complete everything works as it should, but it is a little annoying (and strange) that they have to go through these steps every time.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any ideas on how to stop this from happening? Thanks!

Hi,

In User Roles -> <role> -> Network Connect

There is Auto-Uninstall Network Connect option. Maybe it is enabled for some roles?

No, the Auto-Uninstall Network Connect option is not enabled.

After they complete a session, is Netrwork Connect still installed on their machines? Any chance there are multiple IVEs running different releases of code?

Yes, Network Connect is still installed after they complete their session. We only have one IVE, so no chance of that happening.

How do you start network connect? Do you sign in using a browser and then either manually or auto start NC? Or do the users start it from a desktop shortcut for NC client? And what version of SSL VPN OS do you see this issue on?

Try the Auto-Upgrade option.

We had a similar problem, turned out to be permissions on the users PC's. Have you tried it with an admin account to see if the problem goes away ? Might need the Juniper Installer Service loading onto the PC. Hope this helps.

This same issue is happening to me as well. It started after a Java Update. Before that everything worked as it should.

Sign in is through a browser and NC launches automatically. We are running the latest version of the OS.
