Though there is a hostname listed under Overview, it the box gives a hostname of IVE in the syslogs. Is there some other way to set the hostname? My other cluster works correctly and I see each member with the proper hostname.and it puts the hostname in the logs.
Thanks

Yes and yes: if you want a specific name, you need to create a single-node cluster. The hostname setting is only for use with passthrough proxy, meeting, and authorization only URLs; it does not have any relation to the name of the server during syslog or any other activity.
So, you have a device which is a member of a cluster which returns "IVE" as the name in syslog messages? My sense was that for clustered machines, this name came from the cluster settings.

No, this box is standalone. Just doesn't give a hostname in syslog.. Just IVE. Also, doesn't give hostname on the top of the status page.
So what you are saying is that this is a feature of clustering? Can we create a single member cluster? Or just don't worry about it.
Yes, it looks like this is a feature of clustering. I have standalone machines as well as machines in A/A and A/P clusters. Only the clustered machines report the hostname, and I am pretty sure it is from the cluster parameters. All of the standalone machines report "IVE".
