Hi guys
Hope you can help. I have a Macbook Pro 16inch 2019 version but I'm using virtual box windows 10 to run my vpn connection for various reasons.
When I'm connecting to my vpn pulse secure says "connected" and it looks fine in the "Pulse Secure" app. The problem is that pulse secure shuts down the internet connection for some reason.
Holding the pointer over the network icon it says:
Network
No internet access
Unidentified network
No internet access
Everything worked fine on my older mac with virtual box but on this mac it refuses to work. I've tried to disable "Juniper Network Service" on my network adapter and the virtual one but does'nt help.
Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
Br,
Conny
Right click on the VPN connection and select "Advanced connection details" to see if you're getting any Bytes In, based on the behavior, I believe it's a full tunnel which would send all the traffic through the VPN tunnel, now do you see any packets are being sent to the VPN tunnel IP when you capture the traffic on the tunnel interface using Wireshark?
I have the same problem, if it was getting bytes in. And i got no bytes in. Is there a fix?
I have the same problem. I looked to see if i got any bytes in. But no, i got no bytes coming in.
@Loperioth If you're not seeing increments in bytes-in however bytes-out keeps increasing, then probably it's caused due to the return traffic is not redirected to VPN or VPN might be blocking access due to misconfigured ACL.
Was it working before? is the issue persistent or intermittent? We would need to check with the VPN admin team for capturing the traffic using TCP Dump to see if we are passing and return traffic being sent to VPN.
I have the same issue, but working on a corporate controlled laptop leaves me little choices in rectifying. I get the same results on two different WiFi networks and hotspot. Only difference is hotspot does not give me the "No Internet" status. In all cases, the connection initiates but drops in about a minute. Zeros bytes in, bytes out continues to build until connection terminates. It worked in early December and now I'm trying to isolate what changed on my machine.
Hi,
I am having this problem also on 1/21/2021. I am using Pulse Secure 9.1.6r on my company laptop (an HP Pavillion) and connected into WiFi. This has happend at 2 different WiFi Networks. My adapter is using WiFi 6 AX201 160 Mhz and I connect in via a Split Tunnel. This is very frustrating. I can't get any work done
I'm on Windows 10 with everything patched up to date. I noticed that there is a 9.1.9r version available from Juniper and will give that a whirl but only after i hack my company VPN install script to allow this latest/untested version to install. I shouldn't have to do this. If someone has a fix or workaround to stop this behavior can you please send on a pointer/URL to it ? I will let you know how my test works when I get it going.
Thanks

Hi,
I tried these 2 Juniper Pulse Secure versions and my WiFi still drops after a 1 or 2 mins
ps-pulse-win-9.1r6.0-b2223
ps-pulse-win-9.1r9.0-b4983
FWIW after I kill Pulse Secure down in the SysTray my WiFi immediately comes back and works fine.
I tried disallowing Windows Power Mgmt from turning down both my WiFi Adapter as well as the Juniper VPN Adapter. That didn't help either.
What are my next steps to get through this - are there any workarounds ?
Thx

@BigDaddy68 If config has split tunnel disabled. Check the behavior with Pulse client 9.1R10, which fixes the issue.
Please perform deep clean if you have older pulse client version installed, then install 9.1R10
Steps for Deep clean process
Deep clean process:
a) Go to Control Panel/Programs and Features and remove all the Juniper/Pulse Secure components from there.
b) In C drive go to C:\Program Files and remove Juniper Networks/Pulse Secure folder.
c) Go to C:\ProgramData and delete Pule Secure folder
d) Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files and remove Juniper Networks/Pulse Secure folder.
e) In C drive go to C:\Users\CurrentUser\AppData\Roaming and remove Juniper Networks/Pulse Secure folder.
f) In C drive go to C:\Users\CurrentUser\AppData\Local and remove Juniper Networks/Pulse Secure folder.
g) In C drive go to C:\Users\CurrentUser\AppData\Local\Temp and remove all the temp files.
h) In C drive go to C:\Users\Public and remove Juniper Networks/Pulse Secure folder.
