Not all Citrix Apps are appearing

I've setup my device to have pubished apps running right on the bookmark page. However, not all the applications are appearing in the available applications list inside the bookmark section in terminal service resource profiles. It lists what appears to be all my apps but one. Can anyone think of why this is the case. I've listed all my citrix servers in the citrix xml service section thinking this would find it, but that didn't work. I'm runnning 6.5R1 build 14599. Any ideas?

Do you see the application sent in the TCP dump if you sniff your login?

Do you see any failure messages in the events or user access log?

Is the app listed on the first server in your server list and/or on the same port as the other applications?

Do you see any failures on the Citrix side when you request the list of applications?

Do other users experience this for the same/other applications?

1.Nope, I do not see the application in the TCP dump, I only see traffic to the XML service.

5. The missing applications differs from user to user and session to session. We are also missing folders and applications published in subfolders. The problem seems to occur more often when a users has access to a lot of apps/desktops.

Thanks for the info, that helps.

In the TCPDump you should see the XML download from the Citrix server during login. I see that some of your applications show up, so it looks to be partially is working. We need to find out if the XML shows the other applications that are not showing up. If you check the XML in the TCPDump, and don't see the applications coming in from the Citrix server, then the IVE would not know about the applications, and therefore could not display them. If the TCPDump does infact show the missing applications, you'd need to open a JTAC case to have this looked at more. The IVE merely posts the applications that are listed in the XML file that is downloaded from the Citrix server.

I encountered a similar issue, when the set of applications displayed using Citrix Web Interface (WI) was larger then the set using the XML interface. Later we found out that the WI was being used to show applications from two different Citrix farms and some of them were published only in the old environment, so they were not visible in the new XML broker.
