OWA 2003 having issues with uploading and downloading MS Office file attachments

We have OWA 2003 set up for access through the re-write engine. A very few users are experiencing issues with downloading file attachments, specifically files with MS Office extensions can not be downloaded. We have tried the usual right-click and 'save link as' etc. Just trying to see if anyone else out there is experiencing the same issue and if there is a solution.

I heard this from one customer once, that he was not able to download a word doc out of owa 2003, accessed through or SA.

He wanted to reproduce this issue with other documents but I do not have feedback, yet.

OS is 6.0R3
