Panda Antivirus Pro 2012

Hello!

The latest version of Panda Antivirus is "Panda Antivirus Pro 2012". Juniper SSL VPN does not support it (Host checker doesn't know about it); and in the last ESAP 1.8.0 are not listed.

Is possible that it will supported in the ESAP 1.8.1?

Can we read the future incorporation that will have the next ESAP?

Thanks

Re: Panda Antivirus Pro 2012

Hello Angel,

Please open a ticket with the JTAC to get an answer as to which version of ESAP will support this if it's not listed on ESAP 1.8.0.

However, before opening the case with JTAC, please ensure to collect the below as the below will be needed by the JTAC.

- Dowload the "oesisdiagnose.exe" file attached to the case and copy the same to your "host checker" folder on the C
drive.

NOTE:

Normally, the location is the below:

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Juniper Networks\Host Checker:

- Double click / execute the OesisDiagnose.exe file and it would give you a OesisDiagnose.log file.

- Panda Antivirus Pro 2012 installer file and the key if any.

- Screenshot of the Panda Antivirus Pro 2012 application showing all the detail of the software.

If the issue is that, you are seeing Panda Antivirus Pro 2012, but the host checker is not detecting it on a client machine even if is installed - Then please also ensure to collect the client side logs from the computer.

Please refer http://www.juniper.net/techpubs/software/ive/admin/j-sa-sslvpn-7.1-clientsidechanges.pdf for more detail on where exactly do we store the logs as we do have differences in the location compared to Windows XP and Windows Vista OR Windows 7.

Hope the above helps you.

Re: Panda Antivirus Pro 2012

Hello Angel,

I am sorry - I forgot to attach the OesisDiagnose.exe file on the previous thread.

Please find the same attached on this.

NOTE:

The filename attached is OesisDiagnose.txt - Please download the same and rename the extension to OesisDiagnose.exe.

Hello Angel,

Hope you are doing well.

Checked the supported products of ESAP 1.8.1 and I dont see Panda AV Pro 2012 listed yet. Hope you have already filed a ticket with JTAC and if not, please do it at the earliest, so that JTAC can work to get this supported on the upcoming ESAP releases.

Below are the links for ESAP 1.8.1 download

Re: Panda Antivirus Pro 2012

We at OPSWAT are aware that consumption of OESIS Framework updates by Juniper (and other partners) for inclusion in Hostchecker features released to end customers can be painful for Juniper and for its customers.

We are committed to releasing OESIS more frequently (currently weekly, with a goal of daily updates by end of 2014) and to make it easier for Juniper to validate OESIS releases and incorporate into their packages.

In addition, OPSWAT recently released a configurable client, GEARS, which auto-updates OESIS and stores endpoint device compliance status in the Windows Registry or Mac OS p-list.

The Host Checker can access and use this information through implementing either a (1) the  default Antivirus Rule or (2)  a  custom process / registry checks.

A Hostchecker-GEARS configuration guide is posted at http://files.cdn.opswat.com/www.opswat.com/files/gears-integration/integrate-juniper-ssl-vpn-opswat-...

Using GEARS together with Hostchecker should reduce the number of issues you encounter with your end users being blocked due to their running an unrecognized endpoint security application.
