Portal Page weblinks to different parts of the portal page system

Is there a way to make a portal page Web-Link to a Preference page also located in the same Portal pages? We would like a link to the Preferences > General Tab > Change Password page to be located on the Home portal page so we do not have to include directions on how to get to it. We are trying to present this easy access method to this utility so LAN access passwords can be reset remotely.

if I understand your question correctly try this:

Define a web bookmark for http://mysite.com:443/dana/pref/pref.cgi. Then add a "no rewrite policy for that URL. Add to the appropriate roles.

Did this a while back and it worked just fine.
