Re: Printing error

@alkafri Thank you.

That means the client machine is able to connect the print server over ICMP, what would be the transport layer used for printing process?

BTW, do we have correct ACL applied on the VPN server to allow that traffic?

Re: Printing error

i think ACL is correct applied. aside from that the most users can printing normaly. the problem happens only with few users after they came back from Home-office to the normal Office.

Re: Printing error

@alkafri So, are we saying that the users cannot access Print Server after moving back to Office network? even when they're not connected to VPN?

Does the user to connect to VPN even when they're in office network?

Which of the following is true?

Home network > VPN network > through tunnel > print server (fails)

Office network > no need for VPN > through LAN access > print server (fails)

Re: Printing error

Office network > no need for VPN > through LAN access > print server (fails) is true ( after moving back to Office network).

- only few user has this problem (not all of them).

- after a full shutdown (shift key + shutdown), printing will works again.

- ending Pulse Secure in the Task manager-processes will solve also the problem.

Re: Printing error

are all users using the same preconfig file? it sounds like some users may have a different file: one with lockdown rules configured that allow printing and one with lockdown rules configured that rejects printing (which is replaced after a reboot)
for the users that reboot and printing succeeds, do they see the issue again or is it resolved permanently?

Re: Printing error

all users using the same preconfig file "no lockdown rules".

for the users that reboot and printing succeeds, the error will happen again after few days or weeks   "temporary resolved"

Re: Printing error

thank you for confirming
i would recommend a case with our support team so we can try to determine what is happening during that failure time
