ProperJavaRDP for Mac RDP

I'm attempting to provide RDP access from non-Windows machines by using the ProperJavaRDP applet. It appears that I successfully uploaded the Java applet to the IVE. However, when I attempt to use the RDP link after I login, it starts up but never successfully connects. It appears from the log file that something may be missing. Has anyone gotten this to work? I'm wondering if I didn't upload the Java applet correctly. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hey Oriole - Saw your log messages and will pass on what I learned. First! I am not an html or java guy AT ALL! I struggle with it and our html resource mostly ignores me cries for help cause he is to busy.

I have the ProperJava RDP applet working on W2Kx, Mac, Linux.... Logging at the console log it appears that you do not have all of the components loaded. What I determined is that there were three pieces in terms of the jar files you need. The log4j, the java-getopt and then the properjava-rdp, of which there are six of those.

I know you need the first two and you need some of the last - never had the time to really winnow down and understand what each does. I have a zip file with all of the above in it which I have attached. I upload this to my SSL box (remembering to check the "uncompress...." box) Generate my html code in the bookmark and it all works just fine.

Thanks for the zip file. Unfortunately, I'm getting an "Unagle to upload the Java applet error" when I try to up load the zip file. I checked the "Uncompress jar/cab file"on before uploading. The zip file looks fine when I try to open it on my PC.

Hmm - not sure why - I am running 6.3r1-1. I upload by going to Resource Profiles, selecting WEB and then selecting "Upload or Manage Java Applets" from the bottom of the page. Just tried it with the same zip file and no problem on my box.

We're running 6.1R4 here. Perhaps the upload process is different in newer releases.

Yes - it appears to be. I would hang onto the zip file and as you probably can't just throw 6.3 on your box I would contact JTAC over the upload issue.

There was a problem related to hosted java applets that was introduced in 6.1 R4 (thanks to those QA folks) - you might be running into this. 6.1 R5 fixes this problem but might break a few other things

Don't zip up the files using windows zip. That caused errors for me. Use winzip or something else...
