We are rolling out Pulse and have a user who has his Windows display language set to English but the Pulse client is showing in German. I've done some testing on my machine and changing the Windows display language does update the language as expect. Any ideas where else could Pulse be picking up the language settings?
The user is based in Switzerland so his machine may have originally been build in German but was changed to English before Pulse was installed.
Pulse: 2.14.20595
SA 7.1R10
Where is the end user receiving the Pulse package from? Is this directly from the SA via the web browser or is this package through a MSI file?
It is deployed via a package using the msi installer.
Hi,
Does other programs displkay in german or english or is it just isolated to Pulse?
Thanks,
Jay
During the installation, were the prompts in german or english? With Pulse 2.0, localization was built-in to detect the language setting set in Windows. Also, do we know if the problematic machine had only english set or perhaps german and english were set?
If I go to Region and Language in Windows and change the Formats value, Pulse will change the UI accordingly. I found three different values for Switzerland (German, French and Italian). Pulse will remain in English unless it is change to German. In this scenario, the UI will change to German. Also, this behavior is the same with the installation prompt via MSI
