Pulse Secure Login with MacOS Catalina fail

Hi,

some of our users upgraded their Macbooks to the latest Mac OS Beta Catalina Beta for testing.

If they try to login the access is rejected with Error: 1329

In the logfiles are this information:

Host checker policies could not be evaluated on host <ipadresse> address <mac address>

Login failed: Reason: No Roles

Client version: 9.1.2

Any ideas how to solve that?

Thanks & Regards

peter

Re: Pulse Secure Login with MacOS Catalina fail

Hello Peter,

MacOS Catalina 10.15 is not officially qualified yet by Pulse Secure and it has been identified that the host checker components are not working correctly on Catalina. Only way to allow the Catalina is by temp. disabling the host checker restrictions for them i.e. assign a new role which does not any host checker.

Support and Known issues with Catalina was documented here on this KB.

Observed multiple times PDC crash on latest Mac OS Dev beta build with Host checker enabled - Under Investigation.

Thank you,

Ray.

Re: Pulse Secure Login with MacOS Catalina fail

Catalina has been released and the KB states that support would be out.   How do we get the latest client that supports this os?

The tentative schedule for the 9.1.3 release which would be compatible is the week of 14th October as per the KB article quoted above.

Re: Pulse Secure Login with MacOS Catalina fail

Hi,

Can pulse give us the workaround to use pulse client on Mac OS Catalina until the next release ? Like for example, a beta version which is working ?

Re: Pulse Secure Login with MacOS Catalina fail

I agree, give us the chance to run the beta software that *must* be very very close anyway.   (5 days off for release?  I'd bet its already a release candidate)

Re: Pulse Secure Login with MacOS Catalina fail

+1, I would really appreciate a quick workaround in order to be productive again. Unfortunately, the missing support of MacOS Catalina is a showstopper for me.

Is there any chance to get beta access?

Re: Pulse Secure Login with MacOS Catalina fail

I also have the same problem. I just slacked the office that they should hold back on upgrading to Catalina as it is a showstopper. We're all using Pulse Secure to access our environment, even at the office. There must be a late beta accessible for users, I can't believe they didn't sync the release with the new OS. Not professional!
