Pulse Secure, NCSI, and Office 365

Windows 10 Enterprise v1803

Pulse Secure 9.0.2 / latest IVE 9.0R2.1 (build 63975)

Having major troubles when our users are connecting to the VPN through Pulse.

The network icon is actually dissappearing, and this causes Outlook to be unable to authenticate (we are using modern authentication)

I've seen a hotfix avalable for windows 7, but nothing for windows 10... anyone have any ideas?

Wish I would have seen this earlier... But this is causes Office 365 applications to not be able to connect to authentication servers.   This needs a fix from pulse secure...

Re: Pulse Secure, NCSI, and Office 365

Hello SKSKSK,

If you are experiencing the Network Listing Service (NLS) is getting disabled and you are running 9.0R1 or R2, the suggestion would be to upgrade to 9.0R2.1.  There was a code change in the following release which was causing this issue and has been resolved in 9.0R2.1.

For additional information about other code changes in 9.0R2.1, please refer to the release notes at https://www.pulsesecure.net/techpubs/pulse-client/pulse-secure-client-desktop/9.0rx.
