Re: Pulse Secure and Ubuntu 18.10

Installed Ubuntu 19.04 and fix the dependency issue with https://askubuntu.com/questions/1135065/ubuntu-19-04-libwebkitgtk-1-0-so-0-missing

Now I can log vpn successfully :-)

Re: Pulse Secure and Ubuntu 18.10

Hello Pulse,

It appears that for some users it's working.

Actually for myself, I tried on Fedora with kernel 5 and it works. Only in Ubuntu with versions > 4.15 I couldn't make it work.

It would be helpful and kind if you would make a statement about the status of this issue.

Best regards,

Vlad

Re: Pulse Secure and Ubuntu 18.10

just found out there is a 9.1 version of the pulse client (from may) and in the release note:

https://www-prev.pulsesecure.net/download/techpubs/current/1700/pulse-client/pulse-secure-clie...

Fixed issue:

=> PRS-369889   Summary: Authentication with Host Checker verification fails on Kernel 4.18.0

and indeed, it seems ok when I tested it.

Hi wargre,

Thanks for pointing this out. How did you downloaded version 9.1 ?

I used this: https://www.pulsesecure.net/trynow/client-download/ but it gave me 9.0.

Best regards,

Vlad

Re: Pulse Secure and Ubuntu 18.10

Pulse business is security so they made the download of their client really really easy so that you find it on the official website quickly and without breaking a sweat and there is no point to look for it somewhere else and we do not end up on more or less fraudulent website so our organization security is not at risk... Oh wait ... (insert strong language here)

Long story short, check this on you search engine, and you will find that there is some university that use pulse...
