I am currently testing IVE 7.0 with Pulse 1.5.2.7095.
Our law enforcement agency is wanting their VPN client to automatically launch after their verizon air card successfully connects. Pulse is running at startup, but sits in a dormant mode in the system tray. As silly as it may sound, this will be too complex for the personnel working in the field. What are my options? Is it possible to configure Pulse to start after a WWAN connection is established?
Other law enforcement agencies in our area are using VPN clients that automatically initiate once you've logged into the laptop. Is this being done through a windows registry setting? Any ideas?
Thanks,
Joe
Any other ideas on how to auto-initiate the windows pulse client? This is a standard option that is built in on Cisco, Fortinet, etc. client VPN applications. Are there any plans to enable the pulse client to do this without having to jump through hoops?
have you looked into the preferences on the VZAccess manager settings? preferences, expand Connect, click Launch, Run program on connection, browse to "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Juniper Networks\JamUI\Pulse.exe" and it will launch pulse after connecting, then they will just need to click Connect
Is the connection option in place when you look at the Pulse configuration? Are you pre-installing Pulse or letting it install from the browser?
What I have seen is that Pulse launches at start-up and automatically tries to connect.
