I recently switched broadband providers to Vodafone Ireland and ever since my Pulse 5.2.5 will not connect the VPN. Pulse and the VPN work when I connect via Public Wifi or a hotel Wifi but not at home. Has anyone else experienced similar problems? Funny thing is that its working from Windows but not Mac - is there anything specific required on the router to allow Mac Pulse to connect the VPN?
I've tried contacting the provider but they are no help.
This may happen if your new provider, Vodafine, has ESP blocked. In that case, Connect Secure should be configured to fall back to SSL. This may explain why it works outside of home. Please check with IT.
Thanks for your reply. So I've made a couple of tweaks on the router including -
1. Opening ports 500, 4500 and 443
2. Forwarded 47 to 500
Still not able to establish a connection...
I just successfully connected from a Windows 7 machine (Pulse Secure 5.2.4) on the home network which suggests the problem is not the router or the BB provider and that its something todo with the Pulse client on MAC...
Are you seeing anything in the User logs? I am wondering if it is not talking to PCS at all, or if it talking to PCS but is not agreeing on how to connect.
Do you have active support? If so, please call in and we'd be happy to help troubleshoot this issue. It's hard to proceed further without actually looking at what is going on. Since it's working on the WIn7 side, I don't think it's a config issue. We don't have any generic connection issues with Mac either so I'm sure it's a Mac-specific issue.
