Pulse secure location tracking

Hi everyone,

I have a question on how does pulse secure location tracking work. Does it only check public ip? So for example if the user is using a vpn, will pulse secure pick up the location chosen by the vpn or is there another parameter that it uses to get location?

it uses ip address for determining location for login to the pcs appliance
if you are using the mobile application, it uses device status updates; but if that device then logs in to the appliance, it will use the ip address

thanks for the answer. I just have a side question, is it in any way problematic to use a vpn router and connect to the pulse client?

as far as the router? i don't know. if it supports ikev2, maybe? but it would not be something we qualify or expect to work. but it would not work with the pulse client
