Nope, I did not change anything. Installed update, rebooted and tested on a laptop that it all worked. Clients were told to uninstall all Pulse apps and then try to login. Pulse then gave them new PSAL to install, which is expected even on new clients. And away they go.
If you install the update, and disable auto upgrade option, they still can't login. They must uninstall still. The problem is the cert that has expired is still on the clinets machine, they must removed that to get the new cert, which is what PSAL will do.
We actually sent a PDF explaining how to uninstall and what to expect when you install. Because the PSAL was so new Windows Defender Smartscreen didn't like it. I'll see if I can send it to you in a PM.
Hate to drum this up but you did NOT perform the underlined following on your appliances?
I'm prepping to send out the Uninstaller package to 500+ users and then we are manually touching the users who do not have admin rights to their machines.
If all you did was upgrade the appliance and no end user interaction then that is an ideal scenario but..it just doesn't make sense. Could be the anxiety kicking in though.
And your web based users had no interactions to worry about? Interesting. Guess I'll find out tonight.
well I wouldn't go that far lol. They are users you know. You can explain to them in the most kindergarten way and they will still mess it up. But as for the upgrade, no it was actually pretty smooth as far as a end user is concerned. They whined it took a few hours to complete but ehh. lol
