Random response failures from some IP resources through the tunnel.

PSA 9.1R9 and PS Client 9.1.9.4983.

Occasionaly a Pulse clients accessing a resource will fail.  Example: Tesing with ping - Unable to ping 172.19.9.123 yet able to ping peer IPs on the same subnet at the same time of the issues occurence.

When this occurs on a client other Pulse VPN clients have no issue with the same resource.

Randomly the failing ping will begin receiving responses then may stop again (intermittent).

A tcpdump on the PSA shows the PSA is getting the responses (but they are not seen at the client).  A packet capture at the request shows both the requests and responses occuring.

A packet capture at the client on the Pulse virtual adapter does not see the failing responses (only the requests).

The client firewall is disabled.  We have tried different antivirus products.

Re: Random response failures from some IP resources through the tunnel.

P2 - High priority ticket was created 10/06/2020.  Little interest to resolve has been shown despite tcpdump at the appliance showing the packets destined for the client (the client side packet capture on the virtual adapter does not see the packets when the issue occurs).  The client is able to simultaneousllt receive packets sucvcessfully from other peer host server through the Pulse virtual adapter.

thank you for confirming yo have a case open; i am sorry it is a struggle to figure out what is happening.
does the PCS see the packets inbound from the internal server?

Yes the PCS sees the packets from the host.  The issue seems to be a particular host IP and does not seem to impact all clients.  The issue occurs intermitent on the clients that are effected.
