Realm name appearing as "Unknown" in logs

Hi,

Anyone know why the Realm name would appear as "Unknown" in User logs however user is able to authenticate and mapped to roles.

My guess is you have a pre-auth HC policy. This could result in a scenario where, the PCS server, when it received the host checker policy result the realm selection was not yet made so the realm is 'unknown' to the server at this point.

So what exactly is the fix /workaround to resolve this? Just take the pre-auth HC out? Doesn't seem like that is the way to go. I have not seen this issue until now.

This is not a issue, since pre-authentication host checker policy will be running before user authentication (Realm Level) the PCS server doesn't know who the user is.

This is the expected behaviour, if it's a post-authentication policy (Role level) PCS server would have known the user who is authenticated and will display the realm & username.
