Ressource and bookmarks IDs

I would like to create adynamic external portal that displays the various bookmarks available for a logged in user.

The Terminal Services and the SSH bookmark URLs are as follows :

https://secureaccess.mydomain.com/dana/term/winlaunchterm.cgi?row=0yes.resource_1291211176.988105.2&...

Iwould like to know where I could retreive the relevant IDs

I have identified that in xxxxxxxxxx.yyyyyy.z

  • z is for the type : 0 for resource profile and 2 for bookmark
  • yyyyyy is the ID of the resource profile or the bookmark
  • xxxxxxxxxx is the resource ID

The problem I have is I can not find any link to it in the XML configuration extract.

As someone already done something similar?

Re: Ressource and bookmarks IDs

These IDs are internally used by the SA to refer to the various resource profiles/resources and are not available in the XML exports. Also, the chances are that these would change if you were to delete and recreate a resource profile with the same settings. Hence, I am not sure how feasible it would be to build bookmarks in this way.

Re: Ressource and bookmarks IDs

That is what I have found so far unfortunately.

The only solution we have at the moment is to have a script log in and browse the SA web page with the bookmarks then parse the page to retrieve the links.

That is not a very clean/professionnal way of doing it but it looks like that is the only one Juniper allows Smiley Sad

Re: Ressource and bookmarks IDs

I don't believe the SSH bookmarks allow for this; but this is outlined in the admin guide in the form (I don't have this right here; please verify in the admin guide): https://<IVE>/dana/winlaunchterm.cgi?bookmarkname=<bookmarknameontherole>

there is another form listed that you can define parameters rather than relying on bookmarks created on the role (I will look for this and update later on both forms).

Re: Ressource and bookmarks IDs

And, yes, you are correct that this information is not available in any location other than the browser and will change based on changes done by the admin. You will need to use the format as outlined in the admin guide.
