SA 2500, SA 4000 problem (Host Checker?)

I have already SA 700, 1000, 2000.

And now I bought SA 2500, 4000.

When I connected cable to the SA with PC, on the console screen ; there is no respond!..

So, using the Wireshark, I figured out what is IP address. (10.92.45.4)

I access WEB. but FAILED because of Host Checker??

I don't know Host Checker;;

http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/archive-139210.html

Should I download above URL, JVM?

If so, what kinda can I download ?

Existing devices( SA 700, 1000, 2000 ), it's working properly without Host Checker.

What happend ? ___

plz Thanks,,!

Re: SA 2500, SA 4000 problem (Host Checker?)

It sounds like this is a second hand box with the original configuration still enabled.

Your best option may be to factory reset it via a console cable. Instructions can be found by searching this site.

Re: SA 2500, SA 4000 problem (Host Checker?)

SA 2500 : console connection OK

SA 4000 : console connection NOT OK

I did factory reset working connecting it to the PC using the console cable.

Next,

Using the LAN cable to the PC, I tried to connect it to access WEB... but FAILED...

same issue appeared as I mentioned!

Is there a anotehr method?

Thanks

Re: SA 2500, SA 4000 problem (Host Checker?)

Which box gives the error the one you factory reset or the one you could not connect to serial console? If its the one that you could not factory reset then you need to connect to the serial console and factory reset it first. There is no other option.

If you factory reset the device there should be no host checker config. Are you entering the correct admin URL to access GUI? i.e. https://ip-address/admin

Re: SA 2500, SA 4000 problem (Host Checker?)

I connected it to the PC using the Serial cable ; Null cable.

But it was no respond anything else.

so..

Using the Wireshark, I figured out SA 4000's IP address ; 10.92.45.4

Next,

https://10.92.45.4/admin

Cannot log on.JPEGAbove photo appeared.

It can be translated -> You don't have authorization to log on it. Please inquiry administrator.

Then,,,, do you know what should I do...?

1. console connection : failed.

2. GUI : failed....

___

Please help me..

Re: SA 2500, SA 4000 problem (Host Checker?)

The only option is to be able to factory reset the device using serial console and go through the initial setup. There is no other alternative I can think of.

Re: SA 2500, SA 4000 problem (Host Checker?)

I finally entered CLI.

However, as you can see below photo, It was loading.

After that, there's no respond even though I entered Enter, Space bar, and any other keys..

It was just stop...

SA 4000.JPEG

I thought that I finally entered.. but FAILED again.

I think it is hardware problem..? right ___

Re: SA 2500, SA 4000 problem (Host Checker?)

So what did you do to fix the serial console? Was it a bad cable or something like that?

No I dont think its hardware (as the device was responding with correct error when you access via https://) Perhaps your console connection or some putty settings. Its hard to say.

This looks like a really old hardware device (factory reset version is 5.1 which is probably 6 years old if not more). I hope you have the appropriate hardware support coverage if you are going to provide any remote access services to end users via this device.

To get response from the wider community its probably best to start a new thread for each new question with as much details as possible
