I would like to know if we can install an Unified Access Control image in the SA 3000 appliance

I don't think the SA 3000 can be a UAC. The quick way to check would be to look under Maintenance\System\Platform

If you can change it there should be a "Change Personality" tab

On my MAG devices it is there, on my SA2000 it is not (both running same version)

no; the only platform that can have a personality change is the MAG.

The x000 & x500 platforms, both SA & IC, are single-mind units.

It cannot be used as a UAC device. Their is no ability to change personalities on the X000 platforms.

you can use either as a UAC or SA device but not as both.
