SA reports

can we generate the following reports from SA6500

1-      Top Hosts

2-      Top Destinations

3-      Top VPN Users

4-      Top protocols

or it requires 3rd party application to do that.

Hi,

Do you have an NSM? I use ours to report o top VPN users and have did some custom reports are usage for specific users. Not sure it can handle each one of your requests, but I would give it a try if you already have an NSM.

I dont think SA supports netflow. And i dont know reports functions you require.

You could look at IVE statistics (i think under logging) to see top connections (usercount) of the week.

You could use netflow / probes / netscout 3rdparty equipment to do deeper statistics, on the router/switch behind the IVE, if that network device supports netflow. You could use that reporting also for ALL your network connections, not only remote access.

i am on the same boat, i would like to see reports of links that are no longer used so that i can see if they can be removed but i havent found a way to do this yet
