SA2000 Questions

Hi,

I have a couple of questions with regards to the SA2000 appliance that we currently have:

1)  Could I confirm that v7.2 is not supported on this appliance and that v7.1 is the last version that will install?

2)  If v7.2 comes with Junos Pulse v3, can I only use v2 of Junos Pulse to connect to our SA2000.  I need to use Pulse on a Mac, so can I somehow connect to our SA2000 from a Mac or is that only available when connecting to an appliance running v7.2?

I can confirm yout question #1, sa2000 support ends on 7.1 releases. the systems will not load 7.2.

Thanks for the reply.  Just wondered if anyone knew the answer to my 2nd question?  Do I have to have v7.2 running on an appliance to be able to use Junos Pulse v3?

You do not have to be running 7.2 to use Pulse 3.0. It runs just fine against older versions of the SA code. I run it against my SA2000 with no problem. Also true for Pulse 4.0 on IOS devices.

Hi,

The supported platforms doc of Junos pulse 3.0x lists 7.1rx version as supported so you can run pulse 3.0 and connect to an SA running 7.1x but host checker will not work as pulse 3.0 host checker uses sdk's of 7.2x version
