SA2500 Breaking URL

Hi

We're running an SA2500 (7.0 R6) and have a web resource accessible to some external consultants.  The website in question is running on an internal server over port 8080 on our LAN.

The Resource is set up correctly on the SA2500, the bookmark is available and works fine.  They can browse the site fine.  They can search the site using the sites search engine but when they click on one of the results the SA2500 returns an error.

When I look at the URLs I can see the problem but not the cause.  The URLs look like the one below when browsing without error:

https://sa2500.domain.com/share/page/,danainfo=servername.domain.com,Port=8080+RestOfURL.....

When I hover over the link of one of the results returned by the search it all looks fine but when I click on it and it starts to load the page it just bring up the Juniper error page and the URL has stripped the port number out and look like:

https://sa2500.domain.com/share/page/,danainfo=servername.domain.com+RestOfURL.....

Any idea why this would be happening?  When we browse the site internally the URLs all remain intact (:8080)

Any pointers appreciated

gR

Re: SA2500 Breaking URL

Hi,

Does the page contain Flash or Java?  The last time I ran across something similar the customers site had Flash, which needs to be enabled under "Options" for that role.

Re: SA2500 Breaking URL

Thanks for the reply, no flash content in the site and I have "allow java applets" enabled.

I think it's down to something on the site posting back in a way Juniper doesn't like.  We have another site that goes out over the same port (8080) and that works fine.

I'm trying to get some info from the site developer so see if that page is using some different method to post back.  I'll update here if I get anything back in case someone's come accross it before.

Many thanks
