We have a SA2500 set up so that internal users have to VPN into a secure environment. This means that our STRM appliance sits off the external interface of the SA2500. We have been trying to get the SA to send logs to the STRM but it will not work. I am wondering if it is even possible to configure the SA to send logs over the external interface?
Nope - not possible - all admin related functions such as logging, accessing AA servers, etc only run over the internal interface. The only thing you can do from the external is login into the box as admin.
