SA6000 cluster ping (ICMP)

I have a cluster of SA6000 A/P mode,

I have configured many IVS and when I ping the the IVS internal IP-adress in the ACTIVE gw I can get the response but (!)

if I ping (from or to )the IVS internal IP-adress in the PASSIVE gw I don't get no response. my question is:

Should the Passive IVS internal IP-address answer to ping?

The cluster is working fine and both active and passive are green.

In my active/passive clusters, I can ping the native addresses of the active and the passive servers, and the VIP address. I can also ping VLAN addresses on the active and passive servers, and the VIP for the VLAN. I'm running 6.0r3.1.
