SSL VPN Bytes received stays 0 and no answers from network - SA700

Hi all,

I configured my SA 700. I think I configured everything as it should be.

Now I have this issue that sometimes the Remote Network is not replying and I cannot ping to any server on the Remote Network

On the network connect tool I also see that the Bytes Received stays on 0.

Strange thing is that now it is working without any problem, but this morning I had the problem.

Can anyone help me on this case?

thx

Robby

In my experience, this is usually a routing problem. Are your NC pool addresses in the same subnet as your internal interface?

Since the NC addresses are in the same subnet as the internal interface of the IVE, it probably is not a routing problem. I'd check the following -

  • Any chance a firewall on the PC is blocking the trafic coming from the IVE?
  • Even though this is a longshot, I'd check to make sure ARP is working as you expect. I'd check that by -
    • Starting a NC session
    • Logging on to the default gateway router for the IVE
    • Pinging the address of the NC session
    • Checking the router's ARP table for an entry pointing the address of the NC session to the MAC of the IVE.
  • Doing a packet trace on the PC (both the native interface and the NC virtual interface) and on the external and internal addresses of the IVE to see where the traffic is getting lost.
