Hi Folks

i have a question regarding SSL cluster license. based on the admin guide i see that in version 7 introduces several clusetering license changes.

my question is if we have the old clustering model means n-1 CL licenses and ADD-ccccE in version 6 and wanna upgrade the box to version 7.0. is it need new license or we can stay using the old one?

When you upgrade to 7.0 your boxes will continue to work "as is" - if you had non-cluster licenses purchased and installed - they would function differently. I have tested this functionality.

So if we have 2 x SA4500 (on IVEOS 6.4) running on HA, with 200 user license and 200 CL user license accordingly, we can upgrade to 7.x without additional license right?

Thus, if the user would upgradewith additional 100 users, they will need to purchase 100 user license and 100 CL usr license as well, right?

Hi all,

In a scenario, whereby there is a standalone SA4500 running version 6.x. As time passed, the SA4500 is upgraded to 7.1.

Thereafter, the owner wants to add an additional SA4500 unit (for HA) to the upgraded SA4500 (7.1).

Thus for the additional SA4500 unit, what is the license part number to purchase?

Is it the ACCESSX500-ADD-100U license or SA4500-ADD-100U license?

Either will work; but sticking with the same form as the initial would be recommended

I would recommend SA4500-ADD-100U as the other one i.e. ACCESSX500-ADD-100U is for a License Server based deployment and may not be suited for the use case you described.
