SSL-VPN using Firewall SSG5 or SSG140

I have SA2500 in our corporate office for all ssl connections. I want to decentralize the ssl connection to our remote sites (globally dispersed). I am wondering if I can use the SSG5 or SSG140 for this type of connection without too much hassle or work for end user.

If someone has done this please direct me to right resource. Thanks.

Re: SSL-VPN using Firewall SSG5 or SSG140

Hi ThairM,

ScreenOS Devices do not support SSLVPN, but SRX Devices do it (in a way more limited fashion then SA Devices can provide, exampe: NO Hostchecker)

Hope this helps a bit.

Best Regards

Both the SSG and SRX firewalls support IPSEC vpn connections and not SSL.

The number of user connections count against your IPSEC vpn tunnel maximum on the platform.

The client software is also different than that used by the SA.
