We have a client that needs to RDP into one of our servers. I set them up to use a local copy of RDP over NetConnect. The customer wants a more seamless solution. I tried the Hob Client and you have to use the launcher for that to work. I've read that you can do something with properRDP but I'm not exactly sure how it works. Is there anyway just to provide a bookmark like the ActiveX client for Windows?
You do not need to use the RDP launcher in order to use the HOB applet. You do need to create the WTS bookmark as a resource profile rather than on the role, however, and enable the option for Java fallback. This will allow WIndows users to connect with ActiveX and other platforms to connect using the applet.
