I am the original poster.
We are still using webex due to the lack of enhancement for secure meeting.
Hi,
I did experience that problem. We solved it by reducing the color depth (system / configuration / Secure Meeting / Option) and by reducing the presentator monitor resolution to 1280X1024 before the meeting.
Is there any way to enhance the performance of Secure Meeting?.
We are seeing remnants of old windows on the screen.
If there is nothing to adjust now, baybe add a feature to force a full screen refresh at the viewer's side, so if the screen starts to look odd, they can just click a button to get a full screen refresh.
Also, are there any changes coming to Secure Meeting soon?
We have several licenses, but are debating buying more or something different due to the way it is performing currently.
What version of the IVE are you using? Are you seeing this on all platforms or only Windows-based platforms?
There have been enhancements related to the symptom you are describing in 6.4 and 6.5.
Currently the only way to refresh the screen, as you know, is to close the VIEWER window and then click on the viewer button on the secure meeting application; this will force a refresh of the screen.
As airbus said, you can try modifying the screen size presented and disabling full-color/32-bit display options.
Sorry to dig this up again but after upgrading to IVE 7.0 I havn't seen much of an improvement in performance.
Even when undertaking a remote session with a Juniper engineer, I can tell that the response is poor even from their side when using the Secure Meeting feature.
I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas that could help?
Thanks.
What type of poor performance are you seeing?
For your IVE, is 32-bit (true) color presenting disabled?
Slow mouse and keyboard response.
I have now turned off the 32 bit colour option.
Initial testing shows no change in performance though.
System>Configuration>Secure Meeting, Options.
Are you referring to the slowness when taking control of another users desktop and when typing on the remote screen? If yes, these are not items that have been investigated (to my knowledge) to know if optimization can be done.
If this is something you need investigated, I would recommend an enhancement through your SE team; however, if needed, you can also try through JTAC to see if there is something that can be done in terms of a product issue rather than product change.
