Sign in pages for SA2500

Hi my organisation want me to add to the standard sign in page by possibly adding a progress bar so that our users do not get ahead of themselves and try to gain access before the host checker has finished. As it stands, there is no visual way of telling that the host checker is still running. Most of our users are not exactly literate nor patient. If they find anything to complain about, they will. No matter how small.

Are there any easy ways to do tis? And are there any sample sign in pages that may fit the bill?

There are sample pages you can use to get started on customizing your own. Go to sign-in, sign-in-pages and then select "Upload Custom Pages" On the right hand side you will see the sample zip files. Download them and modify as appropriate.

There is a custom sign in pages manual and there are also a lot of threads in this Forum on customizing the start pages.

As I suck at HTML and just do the bare minimum I have no clue if what you want to do is all that easy. However, your users should see a message when HC is loading and checking. You should see that message whether or not HC is running at the realm or role level. The only time I don't think you see it is if you setup HC for evaluation but not enforcement.

I too am pretty rubbish at HTML, I guess I'll need an HTML editor. the custom sign in pages are in a THTML format, will any half decent HTML editor be able to open these files?

I just use Wordpad, which of course works fine. You can also look in the custom page manual and go find the fancy PERL script based thtml editor out on the web. It is a whole template language thing that I have never gotten any expertise in.
