Standalone appliance - Hostname in syslog feed is "ive"

Hello,

I've a standalone appliance serving as license server (not relevant) that is syslogging correctly but the hostname is sent as "ive" rather than the actual hostname.

I tried creating a host entry for 127.0.0.1 with the hostname but didn't work.

This is the only standalone appliance that I'm managing, all others are A/P clusters and when syslogging is grabbing the hostname from the cluster settings.

Any help is appreciated!

That is the correct entry for a standalone node
If you would like to change the name, you will need to create a single node cluster. Once this is done, the node name will be used for messages

That solution will not work as the license servers do not support clustering (apologies for missing that)
Unfortunately, there is no other way to change that record
