Stop the downloading process of host checker

Hi all,

I have the following problem. I have host checker installed on my customer's laptops. When they connect to the ssl portal host checker starts downloading two big files (unifiedsdk.zip and another one) so they have to wait a couple of time. As host checker is already installed on the laptop, is there anyway to disable these downloads?

Hello,

So far is I know the HC only download these files if they are updated. The following event would trigger the download:

- ESAP engine is updated.

- Each time when a new file is loaded when you have configured virus signature and patch management monitoring.

Many thanks for your reply. But if I only wanna check if the AV is running, will it download the package? If it the case, I will have to only check if the process is running. It is less sexy, but can work.

then it will download the package just once - at the fist time! just do not configure to download signatures from the IVE.

you can also check the signature for not beeing older than XX days without getting the package downloaded every time. a little bit more sexy
