Does anyone know if Kaspersky 6.0.4.1212 will be supported by ESAP 1.5.5? I have a client that is having issues connecting and getting denied access. the weird part is 6.0.3.837 is fine, but on the ESAP for 1.5.4 it states 6.x is supported.
ESAP 1.5.9 has been officially released.

The update that Kaspersky rolled out broke a few things. In some ways this was helpful, though not to endpoint customers obviously, as it made Kaspersky understand the importance of getting their updates supported in a pre-release state. We at OPSWAT had a conference call with them on this issue last week. Integration should be tighter going forward. They have been members of OESIS OK (our interoperability certification program that Juniper sponsors) for quite some time, but this, we believe made them finally grasp the value.
Juniper was given a patch around 2 weeks ago. I'm sure they'll roll it in to the first update release they possibly can.
The Release notes for 1.5.5 says they fixed the issue, but my test machine is still failing... Waiting on a few other people to test for me as well...
I have users who are using 6.0.4.1212 and it worked for a little while with 1.5.5 but now broke again, and I have another client who is using Kaspersky Internet Security 8.0.8.0.0.521 and they are now reporting its not allowing them through either. anyone have a way to validate their software and let them through?
Anyone get this working yet? We're on the same KAV version but have yet to have much luck with hostchecker. We'll try ESAP 1.5.8 today to see if it helps but at the moment our W7 rollout (to laptops) is dead in the water. thanks
Steve, thanks for the reply.
I installed 6.0.4.1212 on an XP workstation but it did not work. The error I receieved was "'Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Windows Workstations 6.0.4.1212 does not comply with policy. Compliance requires real time protection enabled". I have ESAP 1.5.8 and am running v6.5R1 on the appliance.
KAV has File, Mail, Web, Access control enabled. Disabled are Anti-spam, Proactive Defense, Anti-Spy and Anti-Hacker as many of our end users would have difficulty dealing with the various KAV warnings. i suppose I could upgrade the appliance to R3 but I don't see what effect that has on host checking. Thanks.
Aha, and as fate would have it, I tried it a few more times on XP with success.
Computers are often funny like that. Thanks for your update.
Target Milestone Kaspersky 6.0.4.1212 is ESAP 1.5.9
