We have just deployed a Virtual License Server (VLS) and reading the docs I'm rather confused by the need of the license-mbr license.
I just want to make sure that I've understood everything correctly.
Lets say I've installed a CONSEC-ADD-1000U (perpetual license) in my VLS.
Now, with a mixed enviroment with both VA and PSA PCS.
Does only the PSA need the license-mbr license to lease the perpetual licenses?
Lets say I've installed a CONSEC-1000U-1YR (subscription license) in my VLS.
Does anyone need the license-mbr license to lease the subcription based licenses?
From my understanding VAs does not need license-mbr licenses.
PSAs need it when leasing perpetual licenses from a VLS.
And only PSAs can surrender perpetual licenses to a LS which in this case needs a license-mbr license.
