Hello everybody
I would like to upgrade my SA4500 cluster (actually in 7.3R1 version).
Before i have some question about the installers.
- The installers will be update too automaticaly ?
- It will be possible to have a connection with ealier version after the upgrade or the client side will update automaticaly ? (for exemple juniper install service, host checker, network connect)
- What is your procdure for users updates who are not admin of their computer ?
Thank you !
Hello
Is it really impossible to have the client installers before upgrade SA4500 server ?
Thank you so much
Hi,
I've my SA configured to automaticaly upgrade the clients... and it runs well if the users has admin privileges on the machine. If they don't have, they must have the Juniper Installer Service already installed or they will be in trouble.
Another problem is, if you use rewriting, you must warning your users to clean the cache. Specially in upgrade of major releases, it is a nightmare...
Regards,
Thanks.
Where can i specifiy to not upgrade automaticaly all the client installers ?
If i do this, both new installers and installer 7.3 will be compatible at the the same time wirh the portal ? This will give me time to install the new version on user's computer who don't have admin right.
I've done a double check about what I've said, and just WSAM has role base configuration to do auto update or not. Junos Pulse is system wide configuration. What almost all have is auto-launch... apology for mislead you.
I think if you don't have the new client versions, it will not be possible to use the new SA version.
At least, HC and Network Connect fails... You can have several versions of Network Connect installed, but not HC.
If i take the problem by the other side, it's possible to find and install manually all client side before the upgrade of the SA4500 (it's require that's client version newer than 7.3R1 will be compatible with my portal) ?
It's a puzzle...
I want to upgrade my SA4500 but I'm stuck because of my customer who have no admin right on their computer...
Send the package Juniper Installer Service to the users... It is in maintanance -> System -> Installers... You have .exe to single instalations or .msi to deploy in the organizations.
After all users have this service installed, you don't have any problems... just install new updates in the windows way... next next next
Hello !
Yes but it would be easier if I could do it before updating the server. That's my question, finally
Anyone else for helping me ?
Thank you
