Hi everyone, We have a user that keeps getting kicked out of the MS Terminal Server session almost every other day. We have several users going through our Juniper SA2500 VPN. What are the possible reason or cause for her to get kicked out of the terminal server session when everyone else are not having the problem. Thanks
The first thing I would recommend is to run a Policy Trace for the user.
Maintenance->Troubleshooting->Policy Tracing
Check the following boxes:
Pre-Authentication
Authentication
Role Mapping
Network Connect Policies
Also, If you search the user event log for that user, you may find something there as well.
Hi Stine,
Thanks. I will try out your suggestion tonite and hopefully find out what is causing one of our user to get kicked out abruptly every so often. Thanks again.
Hello, I watching similar problem. User connected via Network Connect and using RDP is disconnected without any reason regardless on Session or Idle time settings on Juniper.
It happens. I only have the problem when I have no time to document it. Unfortunately, it happens when i'm in-and-out of the RDP session, either by clicking the minimize button, and/or ctrl-alt-del followed by alt-tab. I don't recall ever having this problem with an RDP session that I opened full-screen, and then used until I was done (2-3hrs later). It only seems to occur when I'm in and out of the session repeatedly.
Also, all of my personal experiences are on XPsp3 with System Version 6.4R2 (build 14343)
System Version
6.4R2 (build 14343)
More info:
It appears to happen when connecting to Win2003r2 and Win2008 servers. I'm not sure why, but its possible that its only been happening since the December MS patch cycle. I'm not sure what to check next because mstsc.exe and rdpclip.exe are both dated 2007/2008, but I'm not sure what else they rely on. I'm going to open up a support case and see if the JTAC can resolve this.
