Using proxy PAC files with Network Connect

I have my lab SA2500 configured to issue a proxy PAC file when i connect for testing. In IE i am able to use the PAC file when the browser is configured to "use automatic configuration script", the PAC file is used during the connection to the IVE. Once disconnected the PAC file is no longer used (works as it should).

When i use Firefox i configure the browser to use "Automatic proxy configuration URL", the connection works fine but when i disconnect the URL and PAC file are still being referenced and cause internet request to fail.

Has anyone else experienced this issue or anything similar before, anyone have a work around or solution.

I don't use Firefox, but I've become more familiar with PAC files than I even intended.

Have you tried to close the browser window and open a new one? Or even close all browser windows and retry?

I have seen this same issue with Firefox on 6.4R1. I assumed it was a bug. Since we are going to use 6.5 which has the option to preserve the client proxy settings I decided not to pursue it any further. The changing of the proxy pac to instantproxy.pac has caused us too many problems.
