VMWare VIEW Client

Hi All,

I am setting up VMWare view integration with an SA-2500. I have found many documents and videos showing how to set this up. All the tutorials had the same steps ( configure through resourse profile). My issue is that once I have the bookmark and launch from a new pc it screams that i need the VMWare view client installed.

Is there a way to have the SSL VPN deliver the client software much in the same way it does for NC or Secure meeting?

Thanks!

Re: VMWare VIEW Client

Yes, you can upload the view client to the IVE so it can be pushed to the user. It's somewhere in the "Virtual Desktops" configuration.

Re: VMWare VIEW Client

There is a section to upload java clients under the virtual desktop page but my vmware view client is an EXE. It wont let me upload it since its not a java client.

Re: VMWare VIEW Client

I don't have access to an IVE right now where I am but I am pretty sure you can upload a normal windows installer file (.msi, not .exe) somewhere. It might not be in the virtual desktop profile/ressource setting, but in the general configuration/virtual desktops. have you looked there?

Re: VMWare VIEW Client

Its under System\Configuration\Virtual Desktops. There is a tab that provided options for the vmware view and citrix client installs. From there you will need to have the role Terminal Services/Options sections setup. Thne publish a resource for the Termial Service.
