VPN extend session option logs the user out?!

Hi,
I have setup users with full VPN tunnel access and configured the session options to allow for session extension and session timeout warning. What I noticed is when the timeout warning appears and asks if you want to extend the session, if i select yes it logs me out and takes me back to the login page?! Anyone else experienced this? I'm using the Virtual Appliance 8.2r4.

Thanks.

Are you using SAML authentication or some other form of dual authentication?
When that connection is made to trigger authentication, the tunnel needs to be brought down

Hi, thanks for the response!

Yes, we're using Duo 2FA with the login, and I was suspecting this was causing the issue. Not sure if there's anyway around it though?

What does this mean, "When that connection is made to trigger authentication"?

@Dwight when using SAML, or other types of authentication that do not stay in the Pulse client, and a login attempt is made. this was specifically in reference to the extend session option and the default behavior.
what are you seeing for your users?

Hi All,

I have the same problem, the client uses MFA and when he tries to extend the session, the VPN drops. Has anyone solved it?

what are you using for your MFA?
are you using the embedded browser for login?
