Virtual Desktop fails to start Citrix Workspace App 2112

Hello, 

 

we are using the Virtual Desktop ressource profiles to access a Citrix VDI environment. On the client side there is the Citrix Workspace App (CWA) installed. 

This runs fine till CWA 2109. But since CWA 2112 the app throws an error when I try to access to configured VDI session. 

 

Translated to english the error message is..

The section <SessionName> in the file "c:\users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\ICAClient\" does not contain an entry for address or device name. Connection terminated.

 

So obviously the PSA is unable to pass the necessary information to the new CWA. Or the CWA expect the data in a different form now. We are using 9.1R13, but I already tested this on 9.1R14 with the same results.

 

The CWA 2112 does work when using a terminal service ressource instead of the virtual desktop. But that way the CWA (even the older version) starts in full screen without a control bar. And so the user is unable to minimize the session to access the desktop.

 

So does anyone know how to make the CWA 2112 work with virtual desktop again? Or are there any plans from Pulse Secure/Ivanti to bring support for the new CWA?

please open a case with our support team so we can investigate with the development team
yes, you are correct, that changes in citrix do tend to break rewrite access

Any News about this Problem ? Got the same with our VDIs and CWA Version 2112.1 and higher (PSA-3000 with 9.1R14 build 16847)
